Me in Place

I have always claimed Thursday as My Favorite Day. Not that Thursday cares that it’s my favorite, but it must make it feel all warm and fuzzy deep down in its Thursday heart. Good things just tend to happen on Thursdays, and you’re through most of the week, but you still have Friday to look forward to. And even if you’re feeling pensive, you know Friday’s comin’.

So here are some things from my Thursday:

-You probably know this, but it just clicked in my brain: Julius Caesar’s adopted son, Caesar Augustus, was the Caesar mentioned in Luke 2 when Jesus was born. Caesar Augustus was also the one that brought in the Pax Romana (a 200 year period of time of peace in Rome).
-Mom and I used our $100 gift certificate to Isabella’s tonight. It is a Mediterranean restaurant and so we tried the hummus, homemade pita, Kalamata olives and some other things that basically was blended fish and blended eggplant. Uh, yeah. Then for the entree we enjoyed grilled shrimp over asparagus risotto with a reduced white wine sauce or “What Paris Hilton Thought They Would Serve Her in Jail.” Dessert was a Chocolate Banana Cream Pie and was the best part of the meal for me.

- And I got my hair cut today. There is just no way to blowdry your hair the same way the stylist does (well, I mean, if you actually have hair). So it’s always fun to get it done.

-And two new episodes of House Hunters. I want to live in Oregon now. Mountains. Trees. Air.

And that’s that!

LDWB ALERT! I hardly ate anything all day in order to be able to indulge in the banana cream pie!
