Remi

Exciting news on the homefront! For those of you who don’t know, my husband creates music for a living. What a cool job, right? Last year he did some music for a friend’s short film, which has been shown in several film festivals across the U.S. This week we heard that Steve’s music for the film won a Silver Remi from the Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival! download2.gif

If you’d like to see the movie, click here: Claymore Pictures

(Click on “watch” and it will take you to the movie – it’s a short film)

Listen to the awesome, award-winning music!

Ed Note: Worldfest claims to be the first to award well-known directors such as Ang Lee, Steven Spielberg and the Coen Brothers. Hopefully someday they’ll boast about awarding Steve a Remi for music! Worldfest named the Remi after what famous sculptor?

  1. Frederick Remington? Was he a sculptor?

Send along my congratulations! That’s very cool.

  2. yes, it’s named after frederic remington. and he’s the one that did those horse sculptures they taught us about in fifth grade.

  3. I don’t remember him from school, but I do remember a postage stamp that featured his work. Being the son of a philatelist (that’s going to be the title of my autobiography or maybe the new name for my blog when I get back to it), most of what I learned, I learned from stamps.

  4. Way cool!! Huge Congrats to Steve!!!!!
