You know how the 3yo feeds angel food cake to the dog and paints his hands and the dog’s back with my bright red fingernail polish and jumps in cereal and on and on…?
Tonight he sat on my lap and we rocked and eventually he fell asleep. The moments like that are so sweet and I take the time to pray for him and hold on – trying to memorize what it feels like to hold your active little guy. And then you have to remember that moment when he unwinds all the toilet paper and clogs the plumbing. That’s the trick to motherhood.
There’s bigger news about 3yo, though! He has a starring role in the new Awana Puggles Praise CD! On the cd, he has the greatest voice – melting mommy’s heart when he says, “I love you mom.” And “March… March… March!” The songs are great – he’s great, the whole thing’s great. Thats the trick to motherhood indeed. Very exciting news about him being on the cd. I’ll have to get one of those

YEAH Carter! How fun! Yup, you have to put those times in your memory bank so that when they are taller than you by 6-8 inches and don’t slow down long enough for much conversation, you can REMEMBER and smile!!

And you have to hear his sweet little voice on the CD – it’s adorable, if I do say so myself
