Gingerbread Playdough
I was trying to think of a place to store this recipe, and thought I’d put it on the blog – that way I can look it up when I need it, and you can make it too.
Gingerbread Playdough
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tsp Cream of tartar
1 cup water
1 tsp vegetable oil
Cinnamon, Allspice, Ginger, Nutmeg – Lots of each
Red and Green food color to make brown, if needed (spices will color the dough)
Directions:
Mix the dry ingredients. Add spices until you get the scent you like and the color you like. Mix water and oil together first and then add to the dry ingredients and stir. In a saucepan, cook the mixture for two to three minutes, stirring frequently. The dough will start to pull away from the sides of the pan and clump together. Remove the dough from the heat and knead until soft and smooth. Allow to cool and store in an airtight container.

I have been in prison, so I don’t know this, BUT do you eat this or play with it?

Well, Michael, you mainly will want to play with this. In your situation, however, you could also come up with several clever ideas for how to use it to break out. Just glare at it a while, you’ll think of something. And the smell of it will probably help the prisonyard. Maybe give some to old Warden Bellick.
