Yeah! Christmas!

What a fun day we had today! I had bought tickets to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and we were able to enjoy their great show – it’s a show I’ve always wanted to see, but thought I’d wait until all three kids were old enough to enjoy it. So we finally got to go this year. Tremendous entertainment – the bears dancing to Nutcracker music was definitely my kid’s favorite, the toy soldier dance was my favorite. SuperBoy made best friends with the lady behind us, of course.

After the show, we drove up River Road to the first McDonald’s museum and ate at the “functioning” McDonald’s right across the street. This was an item on Roger’s list of things to do in Chicagoland – so, check that off!

THEN, we didn’t stop there with the fun. Mom told me we were very close to the Choo Choo Restaurant – another item on the original list Roger made on this blog – so we drove there and enjoyed dessert carried to us on the little electric train. The service was great and the kids loved it.

(My camera was acting goofy, so I will have more pics to prove we saw the McD’s as soon as I get them!)

  1. We just got home from the Radio City thingy. Totally cool! CAMELS AND SHEEP!!! I was totally shocked!!! Loved the toy soldier routine the best!! Yeah… we had to go on the day of the huge snow storm/ice storm. Roads weren’t THAT bad… they really turn those shows around… we were pulling out as they next shows people were pulling in. Oh… and those ladies can kick!!

  2. Yeah, the roads are a bit crazy tonight, that’s for sure. The camels were a surprise to me too! Loved it! :)

My expierence at the Rockette’s too was nice. I must say, I could sure use a couple ladies that can kick that high to squeeze into tight places when I am in a bind!
