Me in Place

Suddenly I am overcome with the deepest desire to eat strawberry shortcake.

And I don’t mean the cartoon character.

I mean the magnanimous crumbly biscuits with whipped cream and strawberries.

And, yes, a dessert can be magnanimous. Just as the weather was. And the Cubs were.
