Weather Report: Fried Day
I definitely wish I was on the beach reading a book right now!
I’ve made it (almost) to the end of the week! It’s one of those weeks where I’ve accomplished a lot, but have little to show for it. But, that’s okay, as long as my To-Do List gets shorter, I’m fine with that. So, here’s a quick update.
Mood:
Music: I’m hooked on “All I Want To Do” by Sugarland.
-Getting ready for fam to come over for dinner and overnight.
-Sarah Palin’s speech today was great! I hadn’t heard much about her, other than I knew some people hoped she would be McCain’s choice. My problem with voting for McCain is that I can’t stop looking at his arms. They look… I don’t know… wrong? Is it just me?
-Amazing Race, Season 13 is set to start Sunday, September 28!
-Oh, and the Cubs? Hmm… looks like September’s on the horizon, Brewer fans. Oh.. wait, what have we here? Cubs are in first and Mark DeRosa – my BFF even though he doesn’t know it – is in the running for the Player of the Month in August? Boo-yah.

I’d like to be on a beach too, doing Sudoku! I guess I could be reading, maybe like a People mag…, but eating, too – definitely eating.
McCain is so smart! I’ve not noticed his arms – but I’ll look tonight and get back to you.

I didn’t notice anything funky about McCain’s arms. I’m pretty excited about Sarah!

I don’t think he can put those arms over his head…? I’ve noticed, but I can never quite pick it out for sure.
I’m trying to wind down now…finally finished packing…we leave in a few hours! The girls ended up sick this week and I had so much to do…now I get to relax for a week (haha!).
you know the Cubs “luck” has got to run out soon…thanks for saying something, cuz now we can point the downhill spiral in Sept for the Cubs to you!! :p j/k It’s fun to have all the excitement though! We are at least looking good for the wild card!

Sue – yeah… it’s something about them looking too short or something and he holds them all stiffly – like his head is on these really wide shoulders with short arms.

I thought Sarah Palin’s speech was awesome. I noticed while she was speaking that McCain can’t really turn his head very good. It reminds me of the Monsters from Monster, Inc.

Yes Kelli, I long ago noticed the arm thing on McCain and was trying to figure out what the deal was.
I had a long week back at school and everyones schedules. I looked up the song you mentioned and…loved it.

I found some info on the internet, and as I had thought… he did suffer arm injuries when he crashed and when he was a POW. Apparently these really have affected him to where he is unable to lift his arms above his shoulders. I’m still trying to verify that info. Btw, I’m not necessarily endorsing him – but I do have respect for his military service and his ability to overcome the torture and solitary confinement he endured.
