il mio bambino dolce
Convo with the 8yo at the grocery store today.
Scene: Cheese aisle. Background note: 8yo does not like cheese.
Me: Well, which kind should we get for our sandwiches… this American cheese?
8yo: No, this kind.
Me: Swiss cheese? But you don’t like cheese… are you going to like this kind?
8yo: Yes, I like the holes in Swiss cheese.
Confused pause.
Me: But… the holes in Swiss cheese would be the absence of cheese… ?
8yo: Yeah, I know. I like that part.
And we’re right back to where we started!
Well, I guess it’s logical!

I have to straighten this out – It wasn’t SuperBoy that said this, it was his 8, going on 9, year old sister. I shall call her…. Artist. She’s a little Artist. So she says things in interesting ways, but, since she’s the eldest, always is RIGHT.
So, this was Artist Girl, not SuperBoy.
She would be a good President

She’s developing her deductive reasoning skills early. What a great homeschooling Mom you must be
. Now, you don’t have to bother with those special workbooks that are supposed to help them with that.
