9yo: We’ll pay you back someday.
Mr MIP: No, you don’t have to do that. Just love us when we’re old.
6yo: We will! We will!
Me: It’s okay. We want to buy you lunch today. I was just saying it’s getting expensive now that there’s three kids eating.
9yo: Yeah, we’re expensive, but we are a lot of fun!
Yep. It’s worth every penny.

I think I said something like that to Mr. J not too long ago, “I’m expensive, but I’m a lot of fun.” He didn’t think it was cute.
