Departure

First, some background and explanation as to why Mr MIP, our oldest daughter and I flew away to Ireland for a ten day trip! Mr MIP used to work at Moody Radio in Chicago. Now he has his own company (Resonance Audio Media), working free-lance for different radio programs and writing music for radio and video, and producing a couple radio shows (the one you’ve maybe heard of is Building Relationships with Gary Chapman.) While working for Moody Radio and on another show called Kid’s Corner (Back to God Hour), he met a friend, Roger B. Roger B and his family are going to be living full-time in Ireland in June. It’s been a long process to get their visa and to have this all transpire…but finally it’s all come through! They will be working with Ireland’s first Christian radio station, which is located in the city of Cork (Ireland’s second largest city).

Roger sent out an invitation to a few of the people he had met through radio work, and Steve was one of them. As soon as I read the invite, I was packed and ready to go. No, I don’t work in radio, but I thought I’d tag-along! Steve took a little longer to come to the decision that it would be a great experience and a way for him to maybe do some music work for the station to help out.

Be sure to be listening to WBGL radio (104.7 fm) in the coming days, as they’ll be raising money for their own station and raising money for Life FM in Cork! I’ll share more about the station in coming posts, but I do want you to know I fully recommend supporting the station there directly, through WBGL or supporting Roger and Carey B.

WBGL

HCJB - Can give to Roger and Carey Basick through this site. Or give to “Life FM – Cork.”
