Leaving
We departed Chicago at 6 pm, and arrived in Shannon the next day at 12:15 pm. (Ireland is five hours ahead right now – they haven’t had their DST yet). After an all-night trip, we were ready to hit the ground running!
Here’s our travel buddy:

Ireland became a part of my heart when I bought a book in the Dublin airport and was given a free chocolate bar as a gift. What? Rewarded with chocolate for reading? Be still my beating heart!

Ireland uses Euros. When we were there, it was about $1.36 US, to 1 Euro.

Here’s the universal sign for “Exit” used in European countries. He’s called Running Man. Nobody could tell me if he was running because he was scared, or because he was happy. Anyone?

And buying U2′s new album in Dublin? Too fun!

Your travel buddy is cute, but the cowgirl with the big grin is even cuter!

The cowgirl IS my travel buddy
The dog is her travel buddy who never leaves her side. Affectionately known as Snowflake, he’s the best dog we’ve ever owned!
