Me in Place

If only we could bottle the energy of children. The world could run on it for days…months…years.

Imagine capturing this in a bottle.

Today, the energy multiplied and our backyard was full of laughter and yelling. We had the Basicks visiting us. I’ve known them for less than four months, but I feel like I’ve known them my whole life. We have similar high school and college stories and many of the same acquaintances, but never had met before. But now I’m already calling him Uncle Roger and telling her to help get dinner on the table.  Ah, yes, more Sweatshirt Friends. You can never have too many.

We just wish SuperBoy would feel more comfortable with people he’s just met.Poor boy is so shy.

Remember when we went to Ireland back in the days of yore? These are the Basicks who will be moving there full-time to work with the station there. Pray for them as they will be leaving in one month to start their new adventure. (And, no, I don’t know why our sons are mixed up in this photo, but I do know they’re two peas in a pod.)
