Fair Play

MIP took her kids to the violin lesson and library yesterday – as is routine on Wednesdays. But then MIP was sitting at her desk/dining room table feeling claustrophobic – as she is wont to do if things become routine. Having searched online for Adventure and emailed her Uncle for Adventure Tips (he’s king of local adventure tips), MIP remembered the Kane County Fair. So, off she went, with kids in tow. It was their first fair and all went well – including MIP’s Lecture on Why She Will Not Pay $5 for You to Try to Win That Plastic Sword.

It’s probably not noticeable – but there is a man jumping those ramps on a motorcycle. They were practicing for a show later that night – probably not MIP’s best thing ever…teaching SuperBoy that this was an option as a career choice later in life.

  1. Even said uncle has never had the adventure of riding inside a pregnant dragon.

  2. You gots to have mad skillz to win them fair prizes.

  3. Well, I know YOU have the mad skillz necessary for the games – but not sure I have the mad money to pay for my 7yo to try to win a stuffed bulldog.
