Faith Crisis

SuperBoy and I tackled his room yesterday. Like, a good, thorough, clean everything tackle. As we were working, he kept saying, “OH! There it is! I found it! Wow! You can really find a lot of things when we clean!”

And, in the middle of the cleaning…a faith crisis – “So, Jesus is with us, right?”

“Yep.”

In a disappointed voice: “Well, everytime I clean my room I ask him to help and he doesn’t. I say, ‘Jesus, please come help me clean this room.’ And he never shows up!”

We talk a little more. Then he asks if Jesus is invisible – yes, He is. “What?? Jesus has superpowers?? Wow! He does! He has superpowers!”

  1. Well, technically speaking, Jesus Christ is the person of God that actually is visible when God chooses to reveal Himself to a person. The Father and the Spirit are invisible, the Son is not.
